2025 CIDIE Certification for the Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind

LinkedIn Post by Mackey Mitchell Architects on Oct 31, 2025.

We are honored to see the Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind recognized as a CIDIE Certified project. This certification reflects the power of inclusive, community-informed design and the voices of students, educators, and families who shaped every step of the process.

In collaboration with the incredible teams at SCM Architects, Chris Downey, AIA (Architecture for the Blind), Robert Nichols, Associate AIA, UDCP (Nichols Design Associates), and many dedicated specialists, this project redefines what learning environments can be when empathy and innovation guide design.

We’re grateful to partner with The CIDIE Lab and to share more about this work at A4LE-Association for Learning Environments LearningSCAPES 2025.
